My friend had told me about this bakery in Chinatown and to be honest, she told me about two bakeries. This one is close to Yellowbird and I had picked up a selection of goodies to try. They only take cash- but will also do e transfer- useful to know! The Glutinous rice dumping is chockful of goodies ( meat, Chinese sausage and salted egg yolk) and tasty. The buns were priced reasonably and savoury. Definitely coming back here when l am in town.

Never short on selection. Fresh product with a taste that does not disappoint. The staff is always friendly. Ive frequented enough to remember the cash only policy, but a debit machine would be nice. The neighborhood has a reputation for crime, so you'd not carry much cash as it is - that means less purchase power.

One of the OG bakeries in Chinatown, they have self-serve bins where you choose your baked goods like coconut buns, pineapple buns and egg tarts. No credit cards accepted I believe, just cash or debit (over a certain amount) only.

Great Asian bakery. With the closure of Garden Bakery and Hong Kong Bakery in China town it was hard to find a replacement bakery place. The BBQ Pork Puffs are super delicious, filling is brimming full with a great flavour. Their puff is way better than Garden Bakery's ever was. The Long Donut has nice chew and is also delicious. The Pineapple BBQ Pork bun is also a good choice, the mix of sweet and salty satiates the palette. Overall, great bakery and I wish I knew about this place earlier. It is cash only or e-transfer, just bring cash :)

Great Chinese Bakery! Love their self service setup. You grab a tray and tongs and then make your way through the bakery. Lots of selection including Sweet Buns. Their Coconut Cream Bun is great. Once you are done head to the cashier to pay.

Love their bakery’s! But just a little hard to find parking. Very traditional taste of Cantonese style bakery!

Bring cash. Shan Shan is my go to bakery for buns. Everything tastes so good. The BBQ pork buns here are a lot better then the other bakery's. I find the buns are generally filled with more then other places as well, the buns are soft and sweet just how they should be.

I ordered a bulk order of mooncakes (300) for a Chinese Mid-Autumn party. They were very accommodating. Everyone loved the mooncakes!!

I've been here a few times now & it's my favourite bakery in Chinatown. Grab & tray & load it up!

Visited this bakery in Chinatown for the first time last week. The box of 9 bread and pastries came to a little less than $16. Most breads were around $1.40 and the most expensive pastries were around $2.50.
